       The choice of a turtle as a pet, whether land or water is very popular. First of all, you have to look for turtles that are not banned from commercialization. Turtles are characterized by having a shell that protects the internal organs and from which poke the head, legs and tail. It is an ectothermic reptile animal, it depends on the external temperature or the environment. Turtles, like all reptiles, shed their skin, but it is shedding parts of its shell, not all together. The reproduction of the turtles is oviparous and the incubation is by solar irradiation. 
       Turtles are generally considered to be patient, tolerant, wise and symbols of ecology and marine biology. Turtles are popular pets for many people because they are quiet, beautiful and do not shed any fur. But turtles can live a long time, from 50 to more than 100 years, so if you decide to keep a turtle as a pet you must be prepared to provide lifelong care.
        It is important to choose the correct species of turtle as a pet. it must take into account aspects such as having the right habitat for the turtles, environmental needs and nutrition. there are different species with different sizes, temperature and light needs, diets and some need to hibernate, while others do not. Be sure to investigate each species of turtle if you are considering purchasing a new pet.
